The largest Aquapark in Russia is in Novosibirsk
For many long years the aquapark was one of the most anticipated things in Novosibirsk. Numerous design projects replaced each other; the location was changed many times. Smaller neighboring cities like Omsk and Barnaul already had aquaparks, so we had to go there to have some water fun. But finally all details were settled and coordinated, and a huge construction started several years ago to be finished by summer 2016. Now Kvarsis Aquaworld (this is the aquapark’s name) is the largest of the kind in the country and one of the ten largest in the world. The visitors can try a hundred and fifty water attractions, including brand new Constrictor and AquaSpher. The highest of them is twenty one meter, and the wave pool is approximately 1000 m2 large! The pool for little ones offers more than six dozens funny attractions, while their moms enjoy warm water.
Another attraction of the aquapark is a SPA center, which is about 2000 m2 large. Its highlight is the largest hammam in Europe where more than 50 visitors can stay without disturbing each other. You don’t like hammams? Choose one of the thirteen hot houses and saunas, artificial waterfalls and whirlpools, or enjoy massage in an enclosed room where no one would disturb you.
Two cafes offer all sorts of snacks and drinks at very nice prices.
But remember that the place is so popular (considering the anticipation time) than at weekends and on public holidays you will have to stand a huge line at the entrance.
Though the aquapark was opened in September 2016, the whole project is not yet completed. A hotel for 150 visitors is to be opened in 2017, as well as a multilevel indoor parking, more cafes and restaurants and a sports and wellness center with a big swimming pool and gym
The prices are affordable. You can select one of two variants: 3-hours stay (1400 rubles for adults, 1200 rubles for children 4-17) or a full day (1650 rubles for adults, 1450 rubles for children 4-17). The opening hours are 10 am — 10 pm.
The only problem is the location, which is great in a way, overlooking the Ob river, but accessible by one public bus only. Doesn’t matter in which hotel or hostel you stay, the easiest way to get there and back is to order a taxi.
